Seasonal Low Pressure Brings Steady Weather to Cyprus Sea Areas

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather conditions over the next 24 hours. Atmospheric pressure at the time of the issue is reported to be 1008hPa, with a seasonal low pressure system currently affecting the region.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility in the area is expected to remain good, with sea surface temperatures steady at 28°C. No warnings have been issued for the forecast period, suggesting stable maritime conditions.

For the West Coast, winds will be from the west to northwest at force 4 in the afternoon, with sea conditions slight. At night, winds will transition to northwest at force 3 to 4, gradually shifting near the coast to north to northeast at force 3, resulting in smooth to slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will shift to southwest to northwest at force 3, gradually increasing to force 3 to 4, maintaining smooth to slight sea conditions.

On the South Coast, afternoon winds are expected to blow from the southwest at force 4, occasionally reaching force 4 to 5 locally, with slight sea conditions. Overnight, the wind will shift to southwest to west at force 3 to 4, gradually moving to northwest at force 3, with conditions smoothing to slight. Morning winds will come from northeast to southeast at force 3, soon changing to south to southwest at force 3 to 4, with smooth to slight conditions persisting.

For the East Coast, afternoon winds will be from the south to southwest at force 3 to 4, occasionally reaching force 4 locally, with conditions smooth to slight, occasionally locally slight. By night, winds will transition to southwest to northwest at force 3, maintaining smooth to slight conditions. Morning winds will gradually shift from northeast to southeast at force 3, then southeast to southwest at force 3, with smooth to slight conditions continuing.

The North Coast will experience afternoon winds from the west to northwest at force 4, with slight sea conditions. At night, winds will shift to southeast to southwest at force 3, occasionally offshore shifting to southwest to west at force 3 to 4, maintaining smooth to slight conditions. By morning, winds will be from the southwest to west at force 3, gradually moving to southwest to northwest at force 3 to 4, with smooth to slight conditions expected.
