Nicosia: Cyprus is experiencing the effects of a seasonal low-pressure system, leading to mainly fine weather but with increased low cloud coverage and mist or fog patches overnight and during the morning. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the report was 1004hPa. Visibility is generally good across the region; however, it is expected to be moderate to poor in areas affected by mist and very poor in fog. The sea surface temperature is a warm 26°C, and no weather warnings have been issued for the forecast period from 0600 on July 5th, 2026, to 0600 on July 6th, 2026. On the west coast, winds are expected to be southeast at force 3 in the morning, turning southwest to west at force 3 to 4 in the afternoon, and then shifting to northwest to northeast at force 3 during the night. The sea state will be slight throughout the day, becoming gradually smoo th to slight at night. The south coast will experience southeast winds at force 3 in the morning, increasing to southwest force 4, and at times locally force 4 to 5 in the afternoon. By night, winds will be southwest to northwest at force 3. The sea state will be smooth to slight, occasionally reaching slight conditions locally in the afternoon. For the east coast, morning winds from the southeast at force 3 will shift to south to southwest at force 3 to 4, locally reaching force 4 in the afternoon, before settling to southwest to northwest at force 3 during the night. The sea will remain smooth to slight, with some areas experiencing slight conditions in the afternoon. On the north coast, variable winds at force 3 in the morning will change to southwest to northwest at force 3 to 4 by the afternoon, before transitioning to southeast to southwest at force 3 at night. The sea state is predicted to be smooth to slight throughout the forecast period.
