Conceding three quick goals in the first half, Cyprus was defeated 3-0 by Romania, in a match held on Saturday evening at the AEK Arena in Larnaca for the 3rd round of the Nations League.
According to the Cyprus Football Association, Romania scored at 16′, 25′ (penalty) and 35′, making it very difficult for Sofronis Avgousti’s team to make a comeback.
In the second half of the match, Cyprus created some chances but the score remained unchanged until the end, with the first half’s mistakes determining the result.
In the other group match, Kosovo beat Lithuania 2-1 away.

2. Kosovo 6
3. Cyprus 3
4. Lithuania 0
Cyprus will next face Kosovo in an away match next Tuesday.
