Nicosia:Former Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna has been awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd Degree, by Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Raouna expressed her deep honor and humility in receiving the award through a social media post. She emphasized that the recognition extends beyond personal achievement, representing a collective effort by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in supporting Ukraine's European aspirations and advancing its accession negotiations.

Raouna also conveyed her profound respect and admiration for the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people. She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to Ukraine's path towards European integration.
