Nicosia: The work of University Professor at Columbia University Jeffrey D. Sachs speaks directly to our mission, to manage land, water, agriculture, and ecosystems as pillars of wellbeing, inclusion, and resilience, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Dr Maria Panayiotou said on Friday at the Honorary Doctorate Ceremony for Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs at the Frederick University in Nicosia.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Dr. Panayiotou expressed her privilege at representing the President of the Republic of Cyprus at such a significant event. She noted the pride both Frederick University and Cyprus felt in welcoming a distinguished voice in global development.
