Nicosia: The Price Index of Construction Materials recorded an annual increase of 1.19% in July.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Statistical Service of Cyprus reported that the Price Index of Construction Materials for July 2025 reached 119.04 units (base year 2021=100), showing a negligible increase of 0.01% compared to the previous month.
Compared to July of the previous year, the index showed an increase of 1.19%. In terms of main commodity categories, there were increases in minerals (3.33%), mineral products (3.27%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.70%), and electromechanical products (0.19%). However, a decrease was noted in metallic products, which fell by 1.04%.
For the period from January to July 2025, the index recorded an increase of 1.24% when compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
