Limassol: President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that he will soon disclose the next steps after receiving reports concerning the deadly fires in the Limassol district. Asked on Saturday about the reports he has received from the state services, he mentioned, “I have received the reports, I am in the process of studying them and expect to announce the next steps within the next 24 hours.”
According to Cyprus News Agency, the President responded to a journalist’s remark about the funeral of the two individuals who lost their lives in the fires by expressing his “deepest sorrow for the loss of two of our compatriots, the worst and most tragic aspect of the devastating fires.”
His comments were made prior to attending the Famagusta Anti-occupation event on Saturday evening.
