Nicosia: Hellenic Parliament President, Nikitas Kaklamanis, is paying his first official visit to Cyprus after he assumed his duties.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Kaklamanis arrived to Cyprus on Monday, at the invitation of the House of Representatives President, Annita Dimitriou.
During his visit, which will last until Wednesday, October 1, the President of the Hellenic Parliament is expected to meet with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Dimitriou, Archbishop Georgios, as well as party leaders and representatives.
On Tuesday, Kaklamanis will address a plenary of the House of Representatives, while on Wednesday, October 1, he is scheduled to attend the military parade for the 65th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Cyprus.
The President of the Hellenic Parliament will also lay a wreath at the Macedonitissa Tomb, the Imprisoned Graves, and the Memorial at the “Lieutenant General Sotirios Stavrianakos” Camp of the Hellenic Army in Malounda.
