President of Cyprus to Welcome ATF Team Assisting in Limassol Fire Investigation

Nicosia: President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will receive this morning the members of the United States Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Unit.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the ten-member team of the ATF Unit, who are in Cyprus at the invitation of the President of the Republic, consists of specialized arson and accident investigators. Their goal is to assist in the investigation and evaluation of the management of the deadly fire in Limassol district last month.

Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis had told CNA that the ATF team will inform the President after completing their investigations and will present their preliminary data. A detailed report will be prepared in the coming weeks.
