Nicosia: President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides engaged in discussions on Thursday with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Nicosia concerning recent regional developments and initiatives aimed at ensuring stability and fostering cooperation.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the discussions took place during a luncheon hosted by Ambassador Mohammed Saif Helal Al Shehhi at his residence. Prior to the lunch, President Christodoulides highlighted the occasion as an opportunity to deliberate on the latest developments in the region and to exchange perspectives on actions that could promote stability and cooperation.
President Christodoulides emphasized the need for the European Union to enhance its efforts, noting that Cyprus is spearheading initiatives within the EU to attain positive and tangible outcomes during its Presidency. He also expressed optimism regarding his forthcoming discussions with the President of the European Commission and the President of the Council.
Ambassador Al Shehhi expressed gratitude towards Cyprus for its efforts in strengthening ties between the EU and Arab countries, welcoming the President to his home.
