Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides congratulated all the members of the Cyprus Olympic team and announced that he will be meeting them soon to discuss with them issues of their concern and solutions.
In a written statement on Friday the President congratulated the island’s delegation to the Paris Olympics pointing out that all the athletes, coaches and attendants deservedly represented the Republic of Cyprus in the top sports event and as faithful servants of fair competition, have earned the respect and admiration of all of us.
He said that he will soon meet with them to congratulate them in person but also to discuss issues of their concern and ways to take Cyprus Sports higher.
The President assured that the government and himself personally stand by the athletes who, as he noted, are a role model for the new generation and show us all the way of dedication and continuous effort to improve and excel.
