Nicosia: President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, has stressed that diplomacy must prevail to safeguard stability in the broader region. The President, who held a telephone conversation on Saturday evening with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed his "unwavering solidarity, full support and deepest of condolences for the casualties as a result of the deplorable strikes against the UAE".
According to Cyprus News Agency, in a post on 'X', President Christodoulides shared that he spoke with the President of the United Arab Emirates "on the rapidly escalating developments in our region. I expressed my unwavering solidarity, full support and deepest of condolences for the casualties as a result of the deplorable strikes against the UAE".
"At this critical moment, I reaffirmed our full support for de-escalation and resumption of dialogue. Diplomacy must prevail, to safeguard security, stability and peace across our broader region," he stressed.
