President Christodoulides and Erhrman to Meet Again on September 17

Nicosia: The next meeting of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhrman, will take place on Thursday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m., as part of the regular contacts between the two leaders and the continuation of the substantive discussion, the Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, announced on Wednesday, in a post on X.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkey invaded and occupied its northern third. Repeated rounds of UN-led peace talks have so far failed to yield results. The latest round of negotiations, in July 2017 at the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana ended inconclusively.
