Nicosia: A 32% decrease was recorded in July 2026 for female poultry intended for egg production, compared to the corresponding month of 2025, according to data published on Wednesday by the Statistical Service. Compared to the previous month, a decrease of 60% was recorded.
According to Cyprus News Agency, in July 2026, the female poultry intended for egg production amounted to 24,190, down from 60,670 in June 2026 and 35,820 in July 2025. At the same time, male poultry intended for fattening increased by 10.7% year-on-year and 3.8% month-on-month, reaching 1,402,640 in July 2026, down from 1,458,490 in June 2026 and 1,267,560 in July 2025.
On the other hand, in July 2026, the eggs placed for incubation for egg production purposes reached 73,920, an increase of 84.7% compared to the same month of 2025, while they decreased by 10.5% compared to the previous month. Similarly, the eggs placed for incubation for meat production purposes reached 1,752,150 in July, an increase of 8.3% compared to the same month of 2025, but decreased by 4.9% compared to June 2026.
