A total of 145 persons have been repatriated or deported during the last week, in the context of voluntary and mandatory repatriations of third-country (non-EU) nationals, the Police said in a press release. Since last Friday, the Police has arrested 47 persons for illegal stay in Cyprus and launched procedures for their repatriation or deportation. Furthermore, in checks carried out today in the districts of Limassol, Laranca and Pafos, the Police has arrested 13 persons. The Police added that it continues to focus its efforts aiming at maximising the number of repatriations of third-country nationals, in cooperation with other competent government services.
