The heatwave is expected to persist again on Tuesday, with the Department of Meteorology issuing a new yellow-level warning. According to the warning, the maximum temperature on Tuesday is expected to rise to around 41 degrees Celsius over inland areas and to around 33 degrees over higher mountainous areas.
