Nicosia: Parliamentary elections are set for Sunday, May 24, 2026, the Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, after consultation with the House of Representatives, the Secretariat of the Cyprus Presidency, and the Cyprus Police.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a statement issued by the Ministry indicates that in accordance with the provisions of Article 67 of the Constitution, the House of Representatives will be dissolved on April 23, 2026. The announcement of the elections will be made through a Decree by the Minister of the Interior, which is scheduled to be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on Friday, April 24, 2026. Nominations for candidates will be submitted on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, as outlined in the statement.
