Next Informal Meeting on Cyprus Issue Discussed by Greek Premier and UN Envoy

Athens: The next informal meeting in a broader format for the Cyprus issue was discussed in Athens on Friday between the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the United Nations Secretary-General's personal envoy, Maria Angela Holguin. Holguin had recently hosted a meeting on the island between the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Holguin briefed the Prime Minister on the outcomes of the recent trilateral meeting, which included discussions with both Christodoulides and Erhurman. The briefing note provided by the Prime Minister's office highlighted that they also discussed the possibility of convening the next Informal Enlarged Meeting on Cyprus.
