New International Edition ‘Cypriots Worldwide’ Set to Strengthen Global Cypriot Community

Nicosia: The team behind Cypriot Who’s Who is preparing an international edition titled ‘Cypriots Worldwide’. This initiative aims to document Cypriots who have made significant contributions abroad, fostering connections within the global Cypriot community.

According to Cyprus News Agency, this new edition revives previous publications such as Greek Cypriots in the UK (2005) and Greek Cypriots Worldwide (2009), which captured the experiences of Cypriots excelling internationally. The upcoming edition will include Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, Maronites, Armenians, Latins, and people of mixed heritage, showcasing achievements across various fields like entrepreneurship, arts, media, science, and more.

The Cypriot Who’s Who team has a history of successful international presentations, notably at the Hellenic Centre and the Cypriot Community Centre in London, attended by notable figures including the current President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and other prominent individuals from the Cypriot diaspora.

The group’s past publications have highlighted internationally recognized individuals such as Demis Hassabis, Tracey Emin, and Marcus Edwards. Michael Yiakoumi of the Cypriot Who’s Who team stated to CNA that their publications serve as a vital archive and a connecting link for Cypriots worldwide.

In addition to the printed edition, a digital platform, www.cypriotwhoswho.com, has been established. It acts as a nominations gateway for new achievers and serves as a dynamic tool for diaspora news and updates.

The nominations for ‘Cypriots Worldwide’ are now open. Cypriots from all communities can apply or be nominated for inclusion in the new edition through an evaluation process. More information is available at www.cypriotwhoswho.com/nominations-form.
