Nicosia: The National Council is currently holding a meeting at the Presidential Palace, led by President Nikos Christodoulides. This session comes in anticipation of the United Nations Secretary-General's scheduled visit to Cyprus from July 27 to July 29.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the meeting features several notable attendees, including former President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades and Annita Demetriou, President of DISY. Also present are Stefanos Stefanou, Secretary-General of AKEL; Christos Christou, President of ELAM; and Nikolas Papadopoulos, President of DIKO. Other participants include Odysseas Michaelides, President of ALMA - Citizens for Cyprus, and Mike Spanos, representing Direct Democracy.
In addition to political leaders, key government officials are attending the session. These include Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos, Deputy Minister to the President Irene Piki, and Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna. The government's communication team is represented by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis and Deputy Government Spokesperson Yiannis Antoniou. The Greek Cypriot side's negotiator, Menelaos Menelaou, is also present, along with Director of the President's Diplomatic Office Doros Venezis, Deputy Director Nektarios Soteriou, and Viktoras Papadopoulos, Director of the President's Press Office.
