Nicosia: A total of 4,021 people have been returned or deported from Cyprus since the beginning of 2026, Police said on Sunday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Police mentioned that members of the Aliens and Immigration Service recently participated in a joint forced return operation coordinated by FRONTEX. During this operation, third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus were deported.
This marked the 10th occasion this year that Cyprus Police have engaged in FRONTEX joint return operations. Police emphasized that this demonstrates continued cooperation with European institutions for the effective management of irregular migration.
