Nicosia: More than 200 representatives from across Cyprus' research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem gathered on Tuesday, July 14, at The BASH 2026. This flagship annual networking event was organized by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).
According to Cyprus News Agency, The BASH 2026 was held under the Innovation Factory initiative of the Research and Innovation Foundation and as part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus. The event provided an opportunity to showcase the progress Cyprus has made in research and innovation and emphasized the importance of collaboration between various sectors, including public and private entities, universities, research organizations, and businesses.
The RIF highlighted that the strong attendance and dynamic atmosphere of the event confirmed its status as the premier gathering for Cyprus's innovation community. It fostered new synergies and collaborations with lasting impacts.
Key figures such as Dimitris Skouridis, Chair of the Board of the RIF and Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation, and Technology, Theodoros Loukaidis, General Director of the RIF, and Constantinos Kleovoulou, representing the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, spoke at the event. They emphasized the necessity of collaboration among all stakeholders to further strengthen the country's innovation ecosystem and highlighted the potential of Cyprus's growing research and innovation landscape.
