Minister Stresses Importance of Tripartite Social Cooperation at Brussels Summit

Brussels: Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Yiannis Panayiotou, has emphasized the significance of tripartite social cooperation at both national and European levels to address challenges and harness opportunities.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Panayiotou took part in the Tripartite Social Summit in Brussels, which focused on growth and employment. The Summit was co-chaired by President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Council Antonio Costa, and leaders of the European Social Partner Organizations.

The Cypriot Minister facilitated discussions among social partners on boosting productivity, creating quality jobs, and ensuring affordable housing. During his intervention, he highlighted the importance of collaborative management and exploitation of emerging prospects through tripartite social cooperation, as stated in the press release.

Furthermore, the Minister expressed Cyprus’ readiness to take on the upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union. He mentioned the country’s focus on promoting the implementation of European policies to enhance professional skills, create quality jobs, and contribute to planning for affordable housing.
