ISTANBUL: An Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in Russia's Kaluga region early Thursday, killing all crew members on board. A statement by the Russian Defense Ministry said the helicopter was carrying out a scheduled flight before crashing in a deserted area of the region, the northeastern of which borders the country's capital Moscow. The statement further said preliminary information suggested that the crash was caused due to a technical malfunction. It also said that a commission of Russia's Aerospace Forces is currently working at the site of the helicopter crash. The statement did not specify number of crew members on board. Elsewhere, Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha said on Telegram that the crash took place in the region's Zhizdrinsky district. Source: Anadolu Agency
