Cyprus: Cyprus' Meteorology Department issued a yellow warning for isolated severe thunderstorms. It comes into effect from 1pm to 6pm on Tuesday. The warning aims to alert residents and visitors to the potential weather disruptions that may occur during this period.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Meteorology Department stated that the thunderstorms are expected to affect mountainous areas, the inland, and possibly the east coast. In areas where storms occur, hail is likely to fall, posing a risk to properties and agriculture. Additionally, the rainfall is anticipated to be intense, with precipitation expected to exceed 35mm per hour, which could lead to localized flooding and traffic disruptions. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to ensure safety and minimize damage.
