Cyprus: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has predicted inclement weather conditions with isolated rain, storms, and a drop in temperature of up to 4 degrees Celsius until Sunday. Snow or sleet is expected over the Troodos mountains.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Meteorological Officer Panagiotis Georgiou noted that weak high pressure affecting the region is anticipated to bring local rain, isolated storms, and possible hail on Christmas Day. Additionally, sleet or snow could occur at the highest peaks of Troodos, with winds blowing mainly from the northeast to southeast at a moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, making the sea slightly rough.
Georgiou mentioned that temperatures on Christmas are expected to reach around 19 degrees inland, approximately 20 degrees along the coast, and about 9 degrees in the higher mountains. These temperatures are likely to remain consistent until Friday, but a temperature drop of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius is projected for Saturday and Sunday. The weather will mostly be cloudy at times, with isolated rain or even a storm anticipated mainly after noon.
