Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that a seasonal low-pressure system is currently affecting the region. The forecast, which covers an 8-kilometer area seawards, predicts mainly fine weather conditions.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the department reported atmospheric pressure at 1007 hPa at the time of issue. Although the weather is expected to remain generally fine, increased low cloud coverage is anticipated tonight and tomorrow morning, particularly over the western and northern parts of the region. Visibility is expected to remain good throughout the forecast period, with no warnings issued for adverse conditions.
The sea surface temperature is noted to be 29°C. Winds in the area are measured on the Beaufort scale, but no significant disturbances are anticipated in the upcoming period.
