Low Pressure System Brings Isolated Showers to Eastern Cyprus

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that a weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region. The forecast, which covers an 8-kilometer radius from the Cypriot coast, predicts mainly fine weather conditions with the possibility of increased low cloud cover in the early morning hours.

According to Cyprus News Agency, there is a risk of isolated showers in the eastern areas of Cyprus during the afternoon. Despite this, the overall visibility in the region is expected to remain good, with occasional periods of moderate visibility. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 22°C, and there are no warnings currently in place for the area.

The current atmospheric pressure is noted to be 1008 hPa, reflecting the presence of the weak low-pressure system. Winds in the area are measured on the Beaufort scale, but further details on wind strength or direction have not been specified in the forecast.
