Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that a low-pressure system is affecting the sea area around Cyprus. The forecast, which covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, predicts weather conditions characterized by mainly cloudy skies, local showers, and isolated thunderstorms during the period from 0600 on December 23, 2025, until 0600 on December 24, 2025. According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast's issuance was recorded at 1014 hPa. During thunderstorms, winds are expected to be variable, accompanied by strong gusts, as measured on the Beaufort scale. While visibility is generally good, it may become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature in the area is reported to be 21°C. Despite the adverse weather conditions, no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.
