Low Pressure Brings Showers and Thunderstorms to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area extending 8 kilometers off the coast of Cyprus. The forecast period runs from 1800 on October 8, 2025, to 1800 on October 9, 2025. The region is currently experiencing low atmospheric pressure, measuring 1011 hPa.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the low-pressure system will result in increased cloudiness throughout the forecast period, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms anticipated primarily over the western and northern parts of the area. Despite the presence of these weather conditions, there are no warnings in place.

Visibility in the area is generally good but may decrease to moderate or poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 26°C. The forecast provides vital information for those navigating the sea area around Cyprus, ensuring that they are aware of the changing weather conditions.
