Nicosia: Officers from the Republic of Cyprus Law Office are chairing the EU Council's working groups on legal matters, focusing on areas such as criminal law, fundamental rights, and international law.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Law Office announced in a press release that since Cyprus assumed the EU Council's Presidency on January 1st, its officers have played an essential role as Chairs of these working groups. The press release highlighted the support provided by the Law Office of the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU, ensuring that the priorities set by the Cyprus Presidency are actively promoted.
The Law Office also stated its significant involvement in the preparation of the Informal Council of Justice held in Nicosia in January.
