Nicosia: Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Bayramov Jeyhun held a telephone conversation during which Kombos congratulated his counterpart on the signing of the Joint Declaration between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Foreign Ministry shared in a post on ‘X’ that the two Ministers had a productive discussion about the recent signing of the Joint Declaration. The Foreign Minister of Cyprus extended his congratulations to his Azerbaijani counterpart, highlighting this milestone as a step towards fostering prosperity in the Caucasus region and beyond.
Minister Kombos also conveyed Cyprus’s willingness to contribute to the peace process in light of the upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU. The conversation between the two ministers also covered issues of mutual interest and regional developments.
