Nicosia: Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris, held a bilateral meeting with Marie-Pierre Vedrenne, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior of France, on the sidelines of the informal meeting of Justice and Home Affairs Ministers in Nicosia.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Vedrenne expressed satisfaction over the strengthening of bilateral relations between France and Cyprus. She emphasized the importance of these relations, particularly in the area of justice and home affairs, stating, "We have a lot of expectations especially in your area," during her conversation with Fytiris.
The informal meeting of the EU Ministers, which is the inaugural session under the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2026, is centered around discussions on migration policy and Schengen security.
