Nicosia: Developments in the wider region and the need for continued cooperation and coordination between the competent authorities on security issues were discussed on Monday during a meeting that the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fitiris, held with the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, Michael Tatham.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Minister reiterated the importance of close cooperation in the fields of security and public order, emphasizing that cooperation and coordination between the competent authorities are a basic prerequisite for effectively addressing contemporary challenges.
A press release issued by the Ministry stated that during the meeting, issues of common interest in the fields of justice, security, and cooperation were also addressed.
