Job Vacancies Decline by 9% in Third Quarter of 2025

Nicosia: The number of job vacancies in the third quarter of 2025 reached 14,573, marking a decrease of 1,437 vacancies, or 9%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, which recorded 16,010 vacancies. This data was published by the Statistical Service on Monday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, compared to the second quarter of 2025, the number of job vacancies saw a decrease of 1,480, equating to a 9.2% decline. The job vacancy rate for the third quarter of 2025 stood at 3%, compared to 3.3% in the previous quarter and 3.5% in the third quarter of 2024.

The highest job vacancy rates for the third quarter of 2025 were observed in the sectors of Mining and Quarrying at 5.9%, Accommodation and Food Service Activities at 4.1%, and Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles at 4.1%.
