Interior Ministry Announces Inspection Period for Supplementary Voter Lists

Nicosia: The Ministry of Interior has announced the release of the supplementary voter lists dated April 2, 2026, for public inspection and possible objections. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the accuracy of the voter lists ahead of the upcoming Parliamentary Elections and the Elections for the nomination of Representatives of Religious Groups in the House of Representatives.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry is encouraging new voters to "promptly inspect the supplementary voter lists for any objections, with a view to making the appropriate corrections." The electoral booklets for new voters are scheduled to be prepared and sent to communities by April 30, 2026, allowing interested individuals or their relatives to collect them.

The Ministry's press release specifies that the lists will be available for review daily from April 6 to April 16, 2026, at the offices of the heads of relevant districts, municipalities, and communities. It emphasizes that no objections will be accepted after the deadline.

The supplementary lists, once finalized, will be incorporated into the permanent voter list, ensuring they are utilized in the forthcoming elections.
