Nicosia: In January 2026, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 136.1 units (base 2021=100), marking a 4.1% increase compared to January 2025, as reported by the Statistical Service on Friday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the manufacturing sector saw the Industrial Turnover Index rise to 133.7 units, reflecting a 3.3% growth compared to the same month in the previous year. Additionally, the electricity supply sector experienced a 9% increase, while the water supply and materials recovery sector saw a 6.2% rise.
Conversely, the mining and quarrying sector faced a decline, with a noted decrease of 10.1%, impacting the overall industrial performance.
