According to Cyprus News Agency, the index recorded a marginal increase of 0.3% compared to May 2025. For the period January-June 2025, the index showed a decrease of 0.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
At sectoral level in June 2025, water supply and materials recovery led the monthly gains with a 2.3% rise. Mining and quarrying increased by 0.4%, while manufacturing prices edged up by 0.3%. In contrast, the electricity supply sector posted a minor decrease of 0.1%.
Compared to June 2024, mining and quarrying prices surged by 7.7%, while manufacturing prices grew by 1.4%. On the other hand, significant annual declines were observed in water supply and materials recovery (-7.4%) and electricity supply (-4.4%).
Within the manufacturing sector, several sub-divisions registered notable annual increases. The manufacture of electronic and optical products and electrical equipment rose by 6.6%, followed by furniture manufacturing and machinery repair and installation (4.0%). Paper products and printing increased by 3.6%, textiles and apparel by 2.9%, and refined petroleum, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals by 2.5%. Machinery, motor vehicles, and transport equipment manufacturing also saw a 2.0% rise. No sub-sector reported a decline.
