Nicosia: Hundreds of citizens have been using the new digital data analysis and presentation tool, Power BI, operated by the State Treasury, almost five months after it was launched, Accountant General Andreas Antoniades told the Cyprus News Agency.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Antoniades revealed that the digital tool has attracted 537 unique users since its inception. He emphasized that the deployment of Power BI is an integral part of the Treasury of the Republic's broader strategy to continuously upgrade its digital tools. The aim is to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in fiscal management by providing reliable, timely, and high-quality financial information.
The Accountant General further explained that Power BI offers ready-made and customised reports, interactive dashboards, and graphical representations. These features cover the implementation of the state budget by Ministry, Department, and monthly revenue and expenditure categories, all designed to promote transparency in the financial information available to the public.
Antoniades highlighted that the tool is intended for use by society at large, not just by specialists or professionals in the field, ensuring that accessible and understandable financial data is available to every citizen.
