Nicosia: Cyprus’ Parliament President Annita Demetriou sent on Wednesday a letter of condolence to the President of India’s Lok Sabha (Lower House), expressing ‘profound sadness’ for the Air India plane crash that resulted in the death of more than 270 people, according to a press release issued by the House of Representatives.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Demetriou expressed her condolences and those of all members of the Parliament to the families of the victims, the political leadership, and the friendly people of India. ‘In these trying times, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims for the immeasurable loss of their loved ones’, she said in the letter.
