Nicosia: The President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, sent letters of condolence to the President of the Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol Socias, and to the President of the Senate of Spain, Pedro Roll¡n, following the train accident in which at least 39 people perished.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Demetriou expressed deep sorrow upon being informed of the tragic accident that resulted in the loss of lives and the injury of many people.
The President of the House extended her sincere condolences, along with those of all Members of Parliament, to the families of the victims and expressed hopes for a speedy recovery for the injured. Demetriou also conveyed a message of unwavering support and solidarity to the political leadership and the people of Spain during these very difficult times.
