Nicosia: President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, welcomed Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), Nicholas Emiliou, for a meeting on Tuesday. The meeting focused on the anticipated visit of the President and members of the Court of Justice of the EU to Cyprus, scheduled for November.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the visit aims to enhance institutional cooperation and dialogue between the Court and EU member states. The discussions also covered the parliamentary aspects of the forthcoming Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, particularly emphasizing the importance of reinforcing the rule of law within the EU.
During the meeting, Demetriou expressed her commitment to maintaining close cooperation with European institutions, highlighting that such collaboration benefits the citizens.
