ISTANBUL: Hezbollah announced Saturday that it targeted a site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kafr Shuba and acheived direct hits. The Lebanese group said on Telegram that it targeted the Rasat al-Alam site with rocket weapons. It added that the strike was in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the claims by Hezbollah. Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, notably Hezbollah, have been exchanging daily fire with the Israeli army across the Blue Line since Oct. 8, resulting in hundreds killed and wounded, mostly on the Lebanese side. The factions condition the cessation of shelling on Israel ending its war, supported by the US, on Gaza since Oct. 7, resulting in approximately 125,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and over 10,000 missing. Tensions have escalated between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah in recent weeks, raising fears about a comprehensive war, especially after Israel announced a w eek ago the "approval" of operational plans for a "broad attack" on Lebanon.
