Less than couple of days for the 3rd edition of The 2024 Chesva 2.0 Regatta of Champions – The R.O.C.. The R.O.C. Organizing Committee is putting the finishing touches on preparations with sailors already arriving.
According to a press release, issued by Limassol nautical club, the 27th of October, is the official arrival day with the Opening Ceremony at the 28th, at 19:00 and first day of racing, Tuesday the 29th, at 11:00.
Under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, the 3rd Edition of Chesva 2.0 Regatta of Champions is right around the corner. The Event will host the Best 45 Sailors of the World for 2024, in the Optimist Class, along with the Best Coaches of the year.
All Continents are represented at the Event with 33 Boys and 12 Girls from 19 countries, as well as 23 Coaches from 15 countries. All of them are after the prestigious Title of The R.O.C. – The Champion of The Champions for 2024, along with Academic Scholarship Awards of pound 40.000.
According to
the press release, the Regatta Of Champions, managed within short period of time of existence, to probably become the biggest Optimist Event of the World with manufacturers, sailors, coaches, partners and Parents embarrassing an Event that has an objective to support and reward sailors, coaches and parents, in their efforts to become the Elite in the Optimist Class.
‘We are excited to be able to keep The R.O.C. going and expand it to a Class-Act Event of the Optimist Class in such a short period of time,” Chairman of The R.O.C. and President of the Famagusta Nautical Club, Stelios Charalambous said.
