Nicosia: The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for November 2025 saw a marginal increase of 0.1% compared to November 2024, with a notable decrease of 1.1% from October 2025, as reported by the Statistical Service.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the year-on-year analysis highlighted that Recreation and Culture, and Restaurants and Hotels experienced the most significant growth at 5.1% and 4.5%, respectively. Conversely, Clothing and Footwear, along with Housing, Water Supply, Electricity, and Gas, saw the most substantial declines, registering decreases of 7.5% and 2.6%.
On a month-to-month basis, the categories of Restaurants and Hotels, and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages experienced the most pronounced decreases in November 2025, with reductions of 2.8% and 2.6%, respectively.
In terms of economic categories, Energy recorded the largest decline compared to November 2024, at 4.7%, while Food-Alcoholic Beverages-Tobacco saw a 1.8% decrease compared to October 2025.
For the period from January to November 2025, significant increases were noted in Recreation and Culture, and Restaurants and Hotels with increases of 6.3% and 5.2%, respectively, compared to the same period in the previous year. The category of Clothing and Footwear experienced the largest decrease, at 6.2%.
