Nicosia: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, arrives in Cyprus on Tuesday to take part in the World Conference of Cyprus Diaspora which begins this evening in Nicosia. Loverdos is expected to address the opening ceremony.
According to Cyprus News Agency, a Greek Foreign Ministry press release said that during his visit, the Deputy Minister will be received by Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, Archbishop of Cyprus George and President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou. He will also meet with Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos.
The Greek Deputy Minister will visit the military cemetery of Tymvos Makedonitissas as well as the cemetery within the Nicosia Prisons compound. Loverdos will also pay a visit to the Greek Forces camp at Malounta and will meet with the representatives of Greeks who live in Cyprus.
