Four Cypriots and Families Safely Evacuated from Iran via Armenia

Nicosia: Four Cypriots and their family members have left Iran through Armenia and are expected to return to Cyprus via a flight from Yerevan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry coordinated with the Embassies in Tehran and Yerevan to facilitate the evacuation of Cypriot citizens and their families from Iran through a land operation. This effort is part of a broader initiative to ensure the safety of Cypriots in conflict-affected regions.

The Ministry’s press release highlighted that a total of forty-three individuals have been evacuated from Israel, and ten from Iran, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to repatriate citizens who request assistance. The Ministry also stated that it will continue to provide consular support to citizens in the wider Middle East region through its embassies.
