The election of Cyprus, for the first time, in the UN Human Rights Council for the period 2025-2027 is an excellent result for our country, President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides has stressed.
This result, he added on a post on ‘X’ “demonstrates the respect and trust shown to Cyprus to participate in important organizations of the UN system”.
The President congratulated everyone “who contributed to this success, and especially the Cyprus Foreign Ministry. We thank all the member states of the UN that supported our candidacy”.
