Nicosia: The School of Veterinary Medicine and the Nicosia Race Club have officially inaugurated their renovated Equine Clinic, located at the Nicosia Race Club grounds. The facility is set to serve both educational purposes and provide veterinary care for horses across Cyprus.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the clinic is equipped with modern surgical facilities and diagnostic tools, staffed by a dedicated team of four specialist veterinarians who also serve as academic staff. The renovation has enhanced the infrastructure to support both the treatment of horses and the teaching of veterinary medicine.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Zoe Polyzopoulou, Associate Dean of the Veterinary School, emphasized the dual objectives of the clinic. She mentioned that the facility would provide students with practical training opportunities while offering professional veterinary services, creating an effective learning environment.
Nicosia Race Club President, Mr. Alexis Charalambides, underscored the collaboration’s benefits, stating that the partnership strengthens available veterinary services for Cyprus’s equestrian community.
The renovated facility includes surgical and diagnostic facilities, teaching spaces, and student study areas. Managed by UNIC Veterinary School, the clinic will focus on educational and veterinary service provisions for the local equestrian community.
