Dr. Costas Kadis, has pledged to do his utmost to adequately represent Cyprus in his position as Cyprus' new European Commissioner. In a message on platform X, he conveyed his "warmest thank you" to President Nikos Christodoulides, "for the great honour" of nominating him for the post of Commissioner of the European Commission. He pledged to do his "utmost to adequately represent Cyprus" and contribute to the implementation of President von der Leyen's "ambitious programme." Dr. Kadis also thanked outgoing Commissioner Stella Kyriakides, noting her advice "drawn from the experiences you've gained during your successful tenure, will certainly be invaluable".
